My debate. Topic: Abortion

So, in my U.S Gov. class I have to do a debate against another student in the class. Personally, I think that this is just a waste of time, but we'll see what emerges from this debate.
My topic is Abortion and I am against it, pro-life. I hate the idea that when someone gets into a bad situation, there are so many easy ways out. This is life people, take a risk and see what happens; life could surprise you.
Many people who have abortions have abortions because it's the easy way out. But, is it really the easy way out? Would you really rather be known to the world as a murder, or as a responsible adult? Think about that.
Mother Teresa said:
"If we accept that a mother can kill her own child, how can we tell other people to not kill each other? Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching its people to love, but to use any violence to get what they want."
I completely agree with this quote. Abortion IS murder. You are taking someone's life from them, and it's worse than killing someone that is older. At least they got to live some of their life and experience some of what life has to offer and what their purpose in life is; the child didn't even get a chance to live, it was just killed off.
I agree that people do have a choice to decide what happens to them and their unborn child and that a woman has a right to her own body, but that still doesn't give her the right to decide whether or not another human lives or dies.
What if you (whoever you are reading this) had been killed? What if your mother had decided to have an abortion? You wouldn't be here today. You wouldn't have the life you have right now, and even though some of you might be thinking 'Good, I didn't want it anyway', it's still a serious thing. A life is a life and NO ONE has the right to take that away from ANY ONE, no matter how big or old they are.
My debate is actually a really good one, but I just don't have that many facts; I have mostly opinions. Gosh, if she had asked me to just to an essay, I would have freaking aced it! What the crap? Oh, well. We will have to see how it goes. Ill report back to you once it's over with. (I really just want to get this blasted thing over with!) Wish me luck!

School, time, friends, and lots of homework.

School, ugh. Wait, let me rephrase that. High school, ugh. There, much better. I have been so stressed lately because of school. You see, I have Senioritis; a crippling disease that strikes high school seniors. Symptoms include: laziness, an over-excessive wearing of track pants, old athletic shirts, sweatpants, athletic shorts, and sweatshirts. Also features a lack of studying, repeated absences, and a generally dismissive attitude. The only known cure is a phenomenon known as graduation. I know, it's terrible, but every Senior gets it. That is exactly why I am staying up tonight doing homework and being stressed.
What else happened to me today.. ? Oh, thats right! After this joyous day of school, I went with Alex and John to Alex's house to have out secret super hero meeting. Melinda was going to come a little later, but she ended up not being able to come, which sucked. So, the boy's and I just sat around playing games while they teased me. It's love, right? RIGHT?
So, going back to being a Senior thing; it's crazy. I just can't wrap my head around the fact that I won't be coming back next year. I wont be home with my parents, in my room, or hanging our with my best friends. My best friend Jenilyn will be in Germany and my best friend Jake will either be in Seattle or at Utah State, and Ill be at SUU. (Let's hope).
"Time is free, but it's priceless. You can't own it, but you can use it. You can't keep it, but you can spend it. Once you've lost it, you can never get it back"
I don't know who wrote it, but it really makes you think, doesn't it? Time is the most precious thing we have here on earth, (well, other than love), we need to make sure we do as much with it as we can; we shouldn't waste it on stupid things that ruin your life like, drugs, alcohol, and partying.
Well, peace out. I best be getting on that homework now. :)

Fresh Start

This is my new post in my newly re-done blog. I am quite excited, see -> :D. So, let me think if I have anything exciting to tell you. Hmmm.. Well, today me and my best friend, Jenilyn Moncur went ice skating.
So, right now I am thinking mostly about college, (Well, and a boy, but we wont talk about that.) I really want to go to SUU. I want to major in English: Creative writing emphasis and minor in music. I think it sounds pretty awesome, and I am super excited to start my new 'adult' life.
Oh! I have some exciting news! EIGHTEEN DAYS TILL I AM AN ADULT! Crazy, right? I am going crazy! I can't believe that I am going to be eighteen.. I can now be arrested; Jen, Jake, lets see what crazy trouble we can get into, now that we are all adults. ;)
Well, thats all I can think about right now. If I think of anything else, Ill tell you. I hope you enjoyed my FIRST post on my NEW blog! (Don't judge) :)
